"Price of puppies"
The price of our puppies vary considerably. Usually between $800-$1200.
Example, a well marked pup...full white collar, white socks, even blaze will be
$1200. A pup with a lot of black in it's collar will be $800-$1000. Pups with a half
white face will be $600. On occasions the price can reach $1500 plus. Then
there are times when we get that puppy we like to call "Marly, the clearance
puppy". Not sure where its looks or size came from but we know it came from
here. Mother nature will throw us a curve ball on occasion. So, please ask if we
have any "Marly's" around if the prices you see or not within your budget. We
do not price our puppies based on pedigrees. We price our puppies based on
the quality of our breeding program. It will always be our preference to place
our puppies in companion homes first. We are not interested in placing puppies
for show or in large breeding facilities. We do on occasion place our puppies
with full breeding rights to select small breeders. If wanting breeding rights you
must contact me stating so and the purchase price will be discussed at that
time.
Sales tax of 8% will be added to the purchase price of puppies picked up at
my home in Al. Not doing so puts myself in jeopardy of not abiding by the
sales tax laws of my state. Shipped puppies or thosefamilies that pick up over
the Al. state line do not fall under the sales tax laws of Al. Any breeder in the
state of Al. not charging sales tax is evading the law.
Many of our babies are adopted from our waiting list and are never seen on
the website. Once a litter is born the families on the waiting list are notified
and given 1st choice. The babies that are not adopted from the waiting list are
then placed on the "available puppies" page. If you would like to be placed on
our waiting list please send me an email telling me about yourself/family. I will
always be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to
inquire because there are many times I have puppies available but have not
updated our website (a daunting task I hate).
You are also welcome to visit the adults and puppies here at our home. Please
wear your dungarees!! You will be greeted by several at your car and of
course several will pile in your lap while we talk (this is your 1st test) Oh, you'll
have to lift Trudy onto the sofa cause if anyone is looking she can't do it
herself. I know I saw that girl run and jump on that sofa one day!! She knows
momma will always do it for her. She is a little spoiled.
"Do you guarantee your puppies?"
Yes, we give a one year "Life Threatening" genetic health guarantee. This
guarantee is for a replacement puppy only. All of our puppies are sold under
contract. Upon request I am happy to send you a full contract through e-mail
in its entirety. All puppies receive a vet check and dew claws removed shortly
after birth. All puppies are vet checked again before delivery.
"Is my puppy vaccinated?"
Yes, at the time of delivery all puppies are utd on vaccinations (1st shot given
@ 8-9 weeks) and regular wormings. We are trying our best to raise all of our
Boston's as natural as possible. We use no chemical pesticides in/around our
home.
We follow Jane Dodd's reduced vaccination protocol.

We do ask as a new puppy owner of one of our babies that you research and
discuss with your vet the over vaccination of pets. We will be happy to share
with you our experiences and benefits with raw feeding verses commercial
kibble. We will in due time add a page about our experiences with raw feeding.
We do recommend that you feed a high quality "grain free" kibble. There are
many websites out there that rates dog food. Just google "dog food ratings" to
choose your kibble. Our puppy kibble changes from time to time. 4Health and
Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul (still good but not readily available).
As of 10/2010 we have stopped using BilJac. Their coats became dull signaling a
change in the original ingredients. Here we go again!Most people I know had
bad experiences with BilJac.
So you think you want to raw feed. A very good book to start with is
Raw Dog Food...Make it Easy. Author, Carina Beth Macdonald.
Can be ordered online for around $13. Google the book name.
"When can I expect my puppy?"
Puppies are available for shipping or pick up after 8 weeks.
No puppies leave before 8 weeks of age. Even better at 10 weeks!Maybe I
should say when they are ripping and running around my house. Maybe have
climbed in the dishwasher once or twice. Weaned from momma and eating on
their own is not what I consider "Ready to leave". Yep, it sure does mean more
poop duty for me but it's what's best for the pup.
"What do you feed your puppies?
BilJac as of 2010 (nope, looking for a new one). Chicken Soup for the Puppy
Lovers Soul is a choice of ours too. 4Health as of 8/2010.
Our adult dogs are fed a S.A.R.F. diet as of Jan 2009
Species Appropriate Raw Food.
"Is a deposit required?"
Yes, a $200 deposit is required to hold your puppy. Puppies are not considered
sold, only pending deposit until deposit is received. Deposit may be made by
personal check or PayPal. Address will be provided once buyer has committed
to adopt. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE in the event you are not able to
complete your end of our agreement. In the event I am not able to deliver
your puppy as promised your deposit will be refunded 100%. Once puppy is
placed "pending deposit" and deposit is not received in 5 business days you
forfeit your right and puppy will be posted as "available" at that time. Contract
will be emailed to you once a commitment has been made to adopt. It is
required that you print the contract, sign it and enclose it with the deposit
when mailing. Keep a copy for yourself. The contract will be signed and health
updates added and the contract returned to you upon delivery of your pup. If
deposit is made thru PayPal then the signed contract still must be signed and
mailed back to me within a reasonable amount of time.
"I've made my deposit, when is the remaining balance due?"
If you are picking up in person, balance is due at time of pick up, cash only
please. If your puppy is being shipped to you, balance plus shipping fees are
due in full 10 business days prior to shipment if using PayPal. Personal checks
will be accepted 15 business days prior to shipping (3 weeks). No money orders
or cashiers checks or personal checks will be accepted if pick up is at my
home. Cash only.
I prefer not to accept money orders or cashiers checks. I might would have to
question the adoption if a family does not have a personal checking account or
credit card......sorry!
"Can my puppy be shipped to me?"
Yes, shipping is available. Air shipping is a minimum of $275.00 up to $350 which
includes health certificate, small shipping crate and airfare. The airports we use
are Huntsville, Al. and B'ham, Al. Delta/North West are the only available
airlines in these cities. If flying with Continental shipping charges can be as
high as $450. We are forced to travel 8-9 hours round trip to ship with
Continental. If we are shipping several puppies at the same time we can reduce
the cost. We will upon request drive up to 2 hours (no further please) from
our home to meet you at no additional charge. But don't you want to meet
the gang? They want to meet you!! We are located off exit 308 on I-65,
Cullman, Al. if this will assist you in determining your driving distance.
We are offering international shipping on a limited basis. We were unable to do
so in the past. Our vet now can now do the paperwork needed for
international shipping.
We no longer post our home address on the website due to a very weird
email we received stating " Have puppy ready, my agent will bring cash on
certain date" I received this email several times. It was necessary to remove our
address for safety reasons.
